There’s nothing we love more than checking in with our grads to see how they’re improving their own health, the health of their families and (sometimes) the entire world. Today, we’re chatting with Erika Roldán, graduate of the Fall 2014 edition of the Culinary Nutrition Expert program.
How would you describe your current day job?
My work begins before dawn. I start off by exercising my body, then I continue with a healthy breakfast to prepare myself for my business activities, which lie in the promotion, marketing and selling my product – kombucha. I also offer personal coaching services and detox programs.
How has the Culinary Nutrition Expert Program changed your perspective on health and cooking?
I have always been dedicated to the art of healthy eating. This dedication has been strengthened by the knowledge that I have acquired throughout my life in various institutions dedicated to teaching culinary arts, holistic nutrition and overall health. The culinary nutrition expert program has allowed me to improve my knowledge of food, but especially it has allowed me to convey the learning that I received.
What has been your best culinary nutrition creation?
My Kombucha line. I am one of those people who thinks that it is our duty to leave a legacy of our way of learning, and this product is the result of that.
What was the most rewarding part of the program for you?
The successful completion of the program helped me develop my skills and pursue wider opportunities. I have been able to implement much of what I learned in my business and impart this knowledge through dynamic workshops.
How have you been putting what you learned into practice in your life, your business and/or helping someone else?
Thanks to Meghan Telpner and the CNE program, I have been able to transmit the knowledge I have to more people day by day, and help them learn methods that will give them a healthy life.
What has changed in your life since you completed (or perhaps since you began) the CNE Program?
I have become a more aware and disciplined person.
