1. Course Video ModuleS

There are 11 core modules in the program,  (approximately 90 minutes each), which you are invited to enjoy and complete the quiz that follows them. Each module is accompanied by course notes and recipes. Once a module is released, you have continued 24/7 access for 12 months from your date of registration. These professionally produced course videos provide an information-packed, engaging, and humour-filled learning experience.

2. QUARTERLY Coaching + Connection Sessions

Once per quarter  you will connect with other active students and alumni through live coaching Q&A sessions. You will also have a space online to connect with your fellow students and alumni in our private community group.

3. Hands-On Cooking

Hands-on cooking is an important component of the program and with cooking assignments in every module, you will surprise yourself at how your skills and knowledge develop. This is your opportunity to take what you see in the course modules and create in your own kitchen. All of the recipes are gluten-free and dairy-free with additional modification options for specific dietary needs.

4. Immersion In Your Topic Of Choice

The written assignment component of the program invites you to choose a topic that is of personal or professional interest and dive deeply with the support of the community.  Students are invited to choose a health condition or health-related topic to focus on for the duration of their time in the program.

Meet Meghan

The first cookbook I ever owned was called “Help, My Apartment Has A Kitchen” and I was well into my 20s when I got it. After using food and lifestyle changes to resolve an autoimmune diagnosis (and remain symptom-free since 2006), my mission in life is to empower others so that they too can transform their lives through healthy living. That starts with what is at the end of our forks.

I am in awe every day that what began as a 6-person cooking class around my kitchen table has evolved into this incredible global community. That what we share in this program is impacting tens of thousands of families around the world is what keeps me inspired to continue learning and sharing all I know in an inclusive, connected, and entertaining way.

Meet Josh

I am a clinical nutritionist and functional medicine specialist. Though my practice is based in Toronto, my client base extends worldwide. I have had the privilege of teaching clinical nutrition for several natural health colleges and am the first Canadian nutritionist to be accepted into and graduate from the Institute for Functional Medicine.

What sets me apart from most nutritionists is my passion for science and a thorough understanding of the human body, which enables me to treat the root cause of imbalance, rather than Band-Aid the symptoms. Is The Culinary Nutrition Expert Program Right For You?

We have high expectations of our students and as such, we want to ensure not just that we are the right fit for you, but also that you are up for and open to the wonderful opportunities that present themselves through being part of this program and that you’re prepared to do the work necessary to succeed.

  • How often is this program offered? When is registration open and when does it close?

    The Culinary Nutrition Expert Program is offered on a rolling self-paced basis with key enrollment periods prior to our live calls.

    We do not currently have plans to offer a coached Certified level run of the program. If you are keen on this, please email info@culinarynutrition.com to express interest. 

  • Do we get ongoing access to the program?

    The beauty of an online course is that you get to watch it back. In a live class, you can be so busy taking notes that you miss key parts. The modules have all been pre-recorded in HD and are released as you complete the previous module. You get ongoing access for 12 months from the date of purchase with the option to renew after.

  • I don’t know the first thing about cooking. Is that okay?

    There is the expectation that you do have some basic skills. You should be familiar with how to steam vegetables, make a pot of rice or quinoa, and do some simple stuff beyond taking something from the freezer and putting it in the microwave. Some general cooking classes at the local high school or community centre could be helpful. But if you are ready to dive in, be prepared to learn, and potentially spend a little extra time in the kitchen for the additional learning, we see no reason why you won’t be able to handle this.

  • What is the cost of the program?

    The instant access course is priced at $2,888.

    All prices are listed in USD and all applicable taxes are included.

    In addition to the tuition cost, other costs associated with the program will be ingredients needed for recipe assignments. These costs will vary depending on your location and recipes you choose to make.

  • You are based in Canada, why do you charge in USD?

    We are a small online Canadian-based business however the majority of our customers are outside of Canada. In recent years, we worked on a platform that allowed us to to charge Canadians in CAD and everyone else in USD, however this is no longer an option.
    There are many benefits to our new course home that we believe offsets this drawback.
    It is not a decision we came to lightly and we recognize it is not ideal for Canadians, however we have taken measures to accommodate our fellow Canadians including:
    • We cover the tax – rest assured you will not be charged tax on your purchase. We take care of covering all applicable taxes on our end.
    • We have taken current currency exchange rates in account when setting our prices on all of our courses, and the Culinary Nutrition Expert Program.
  • Do you offer scholarships for the program?

    At this time, we are not offering scholarships.

  • Can I get a refund? What happens if I change my mind after I enrol, or once the program begins?

    The Culinary Nutrition Expert Program is for serious students only, and we fully believe that if you do the work and practice what you learn, you’ll see enormous gains in your applied culinary nutrition knowledge, your health, and your life. With that in mind we do offer refunds only under the following circumstances:

    Self-Paced Option: A 50% refund may be requested within 30 days of registration. Requests must be received in writing during this period and outline specifically how the program did not deliver on what was outlined on the webpage where you registered.

    We will not issue refunds under any other circumstances unless set out specifically in the Terms and Conditions, no exceptions. If you aren’t sure whether the Culinary Nutrition Expert Program is right for you, please review the course materials carefully, and send us any questions before enrolling.

  • How long is the program? How much time do I need to set aside per week?

    In the self-paced option, you have a full year to complete the program .

    We estimate the program requiring six to eight hours per week for five months. Some weeks may be slightly lighter or heavier than others. It breaks down to about:

    • Course Module Viewing: 90 minutes/week
    • Coached Livestream: 1 hour/month
    • Cooking Assignments: 1 hour/week
    • Written Assignments: 1-2 hours/week
  • Can I do the program at my own pace?

    Yes! We now offer a self-paced option that you can enrol in at anytime and get started.

  • I have allergies/dietary restrictions/ strict diet... Can I still take the program?

    The majority (if not all) of the required recipes in the program are plant-based with the option to add animal proteins and/or made grain-free. In most cases, you also get to choose from a list of recipes to make the ones that best suit your diet and skill level.

    The Culinary Nutrition Expert Program is entirely gluten-free and dairy-free and it is expected that all of your assignments will abide by these principles. We will also show you delicious ways to make some gluten-free and dairy-free alternatives to your favourite dishes!

    In the case of allergies, or if you are unable to acquire an ingredient in one of the recipes, you’ll be encouraged to modify the recipe to meet your needs or in some cases, use an alternative recipe. Your program coach can help you determine a suitable substitute.

    If you have severe dietary restrictions beyond an allergy or two, please contact us in advance of enrolling so we can ensure the program will work for you.

  • I really just want to learn how to cook and I’m not interested in using this professionally. Is this program for me?

    You bet!

    Cooking is a skill we all should have. We offer the option to take this program for personal interest at the self-paced option. If you choose this option, you will not be required to do any of the homework and can self-direct your learning with the support of the video content, live-stream classes, course notes, and supportive community.

  • I don't want a full bundle, just a few of the offerings within it. What should I do?

    All of the elements within the bundle are available as standalone offerings. The bundle benefit is a cost savings. If you don’t want the full bundle there is opportunity to enroll in just that offering separately.

  • Do you offer business program or coaching?

    Yes! The Biz Rocking Insider program is our offering for those of you want to take it further. You can register and register for instant access to this course at anytime right here.

  • Is this program recognized by provincial/state/national boards?

    This program grants you the certification as a Culinary Nutrition Expert, which enables you to practice as a Culinary Nutrition Expert. There are no government certifying bodies or regulation boards of any kind in Canada or the US that govern culinary nutrition education. There is only government regulation on university degree-level dietetics/nutrition/health programs.

    At this time, this program does not fall within the professional guidelines as set by self-run, self-governed groups, and we have elected to stop pursuing this avenue as our students’ successes after completing this program has proven that such associations were unnecessary for effectiveness, success and credibility as a Culinary Nutrition Expert.
